Can’t find it? Let us hunt it down.

Some pieces never show up on store shelves, sell out in minutes, or were retired years ago. If there’s a rare or hard-to-find collectible you’ve been searching for, Route 66 Collectibles can look for it for you. We track down dolls, figures, die-cast and other collectibles through our network of sources, so you don’t have to spend your evenings refreshing listings.

Hunting a new drop? Limited releases and exclusives can sell out in seconds, often to bots and resellers before real collectors even get to checkout. Skip the alarms, the crashing websites and the endless refreshing. Tell us what’s dropping and we’ll work to secure it for you, so you can take the stress out of the release and leave the bot fighting to us. Drops are competitive and no one can promise every one, but we’ll let you know right away whether we got it.

How it works

  • Tell us what you’re looking for. Send us the item name, brand, series, edition, and any details that matter to you, such as packaging condition or a price range you have in mind.
  • We search. We check our sources and let you know when we find a match.
  • You approve it first. Before anything is bought, we run the item and the price by you. Nothing moves forward unless you say yes.
  • We bring it in safely. Once you approve, we purchase the item and have it delivered to us, making sure it arrives safe and sound.
  • You get it. Albuquerque area: we’ll set up a time to meet so you can inspect the item in person before you take it home. Everywhere else: we’ll send you clear, detailed photos of the actual item along with the shipping cost. You pay securely through Square, the same checkout we use for all our website orders. Once payment is complete, we pack it collector-style and ship it to you.

What it costs

  • Searches: Tell us the price you’re willing to pay, and that’s the price we work to. Our fee is built into the price we quote you, so there are no surprise add-ons. The price you approve is the price you pay, plus shipping if we ship it to you.
  • Drops: For new releases and limited drops we secure for you, the cost is the item’s price plus a 20% service fee on the item price, plus shipping if we ship it to you. No deposit required: you only pay once we’ve secured it.

Why use our locator service?

  • Scam protection. Buying rare items from strangers online is risky: fakes, reseals, bait-and-switch photos, and sellers who take your money and vanish. We deal with the seller and take on that risk, and we verify the item is real and as described before you pay us a cent. You never send money to someone you don’t know.
  • No surprises. You see the item and the price before any purchase is made.
  • Inspected by a collector. Every item comes through our hands first, so we can check it before it gets to you.
  • Local pickup in Albuquerque. See it for yourself before you pay.
  • Careful shipping. Packed like a collector, shipped with care.
